A longtime resident of South County, Tom opened his general law office in downtown Wakefield in 1979. Gayle had been practicing law in Providence and in 1983 she opened her practice concentrating in estate planning in an adjacent office. Gayle’s father, the Honorable Domenic A. DiSandro, Jr., practiced law in Narragansett, RI for over forty years. Growing up during that time with his law practice in the family home, Gayle came to know many of his clients and since his passing in 2001 a number of them continue to seek Gayle’s counsel on legal matters. Tom and Gayle’s daughter, Amanda E. Tarzwell joined Gayle’s practice in 2011 and in 2014 Tom and Gayle merged their practices under the name of The Law Office of Gayle F. Tarzwell. In 2015 Amanda’s husband, Antonio L. Trubiano joined the practice bringing with him six years of civil litigation experience. In July, 2020, after 44 years, Tom retired from the active practice of law.
In January, 2021, the firm became Tarzwell & Trubiano Law, LLC.
